Shaun is a TRUE friend! She is the person that her friends and family are always able to count on. Shaun always goes above and beyond for the people in her life! She ALWAYS meets ANY need that is before her. Now Shaun finds herself in the position of being the one in need. Shaun will be having hip replacement surgery on March 10, 2015. The recovery will be challenging and will keep her from working for months. Shaun is a widow, who is her sole source of support. She is encountering many additional expenses, while her income is being cut drastically. As her friends, we see her need and want to help her meet it…the way she always does for other people! Here are some things that Brenda needs: transportation to doctor appointments in Aurora and elsewhere, light housework, food (but not whole meals) such as a pot of soup, a casserole, or something that can be heated or stored for later. A morning hike is always welcomed!

As many of you know 2 year-old Braedi has been diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia with some additional complications along the way, and the LeBleu’s are beginning the fight of their lives. The diagnosis has obviously rocked our family. This will be a long 2 ½ year treatment process with hospital inpatient/outpatient cancer treatments. Bailey and Shelby have always been first to step up and help when people are in need, they have been wonderful friends and family to so many of us. Thank you so much for thinking of Bailey, Shelby, Caydan(4 year-old sister) and mostly little Braedi, they appreciate it more than you know!

This site will serve two purposes:

1. This is the place where Hilary or Adam will keep you all in the loop about her healing process.

2. This is a sign-up calendar for meal delivery for the Haynes family.

As for keeping you informed, you will receive occasional emails through this site with updates from the Haynes family. You can go to Well Wishes or Messages on this site to write back.

If you'd like to help with meals, you just need to sign up on the calendar on the dates in green. Double click on a date. Meal delivery is set up for every other day with exceptions around Thanksgiving. Specifics about what the Hayneses like to eat are on the "Help Calendar." Just click on a date and follow instructions. If you have any questions, just call or email me.

If no one is home when you drop off the meal, you can put it in the cooler on their front porch.

I am begging Hilary not to spend time writing thank you notes for this, as that can be overwhelming. I told her she needs to spend time recovering -- healing, watching trash TV, and hanging out with the family. Please do not expect a formal thank you.

We are currently looking for dinners for the family 3x/week. You can leave the food on their front porch in the cooler anytime between 4 and 5:30 on you assigned day. Reese enjoys cooking so if you leave your food with simple instructions for preparation he would enjoy that. Also, please consider bringing some type of distraction or fun item for the kids to take their mind off the situation.

Please list what you will be making so people can avoid making the same meal during the same week. When you bring dinner, please prepare it in disposable containers or bags as it is much easier for the family to not worry about returning dishes.

As many of you know, Rich Pula local firefighter was diagnosed with Lymphoma two weeks ago. Rich is fighting like a true champ with the support of his wife Jen, son Bryce, daughter Leona, their extended family and many friends.
Many of us want to know how best to support the family during this time. One area that would provide a huge relief to them would be dinner meals delivered to their home. We hope that this will free up some of their time to focus on the most important task at hand...getting healthy!
