For so many years he had given of himself to the seniors at Collingswood Manor and now we want to help him. Please sign up on the calendar to bring a meal to John and his wife so they do not have to worry about this during his recovery.

Meals can be dropped off at Collingswood Manor Monday through Friday from 7AM to 12PM and will be delivered on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Please contact one of the administrators for available dates to bring meals and please let them know what you plan on bringing to avoid the trappings of four chicken dishes in a week. Please label the dishes and put in disposable containers.

Thank you for visiting our "Help For The Duck Family" page. Please know how very grateful Mike, Kim, Zachary and Collin are to be part of such of a genuinely kind, caring and loving community.

As you know, sweet Zachary has spent much of the past month at CHOP, and will remain there for the foreseeable future. In addition to praying incessantly, we have determined that a beneficial way to help the family and to give them one less thing to worry about, is to provide them with meals so that they don't have to be concerned with cooking, food-shopping, etc.

Family favorites include but are not limited to pasta, ham, turkey, chicken, tacos, pizza (of course!) veggies and fruit.

If you are unable to cook, ordering from a local restaurant that delivers is a great idea. Purchasing gift cards for such eateries is another option that would be most appreciated. In addition, the gift shop at CHOP sells meal vouchers that can be ordered on-line at http://www.chopgift.com and/or by calling 1-855-CHOPGIFT.

**When preparing meals, however, please note the following dietary restrictions: nut and egg allergies, as well as a low-sodium diet.**

You may deliver meals after 6 pm to the Duck family residence at 571 Flock Road. If you would like to call in advance to ensure that someone is home, you may call Kim at 609-731-4655.

On November 14 Trish was diagnosed with signet cell adenocarcinoma of the gallballder, a very rare and also very aggressive form of gallbladder cancer. She has already had two large surgeries this month and is home recuperating.

Soon she will start chemotherapy for the next 6 months.

This site was created by Trish's friends to help support her during this fight. As you all know, Trish is a fun, warm, and generous person. She has approached her diagnosis with incredible grace, strength and determination.

We are asking everyone to lend a hand with prayers, messages, meals, and monetary contributions. Trish has not been allowed to work since her diagnosis, and we would like to ask for help with donations to offset this financial burden.

Trish was born and raised in Philadelphia with her brother Dave and sister Dawn by Pat and "Bud" Reich. She graduated form Cardinal Dougherty High School. She lives in Perkasie with her husband Shawnn, and daughters Devon and Alyssa. Sean volunteered as a firefighter in Hilltown, PA and now does so now in Perkasie, PA. Devon graduated from Pennridge High School and is a freshman at Kutztown University. Alyssa is in fourth grade at Sellersville Elementary.

We need your help also to spread this site to her friends, coworkers, extended family, and childhood friends! Plenty of messages and photos are welcome. Art in the Open Philadelphia (AiO), is a free, city wide, public art event that shapes community through art making. From May 16-18th, selected artists from around the world will create new works of art in a range of mediums, looking for inspiration from the city’s outdoor spaces, natural areas, and historic waterways, while using the Schuylkill River Banks Trail as their studios.

Given Michele's recent breast cancer diagnosis and her starting chemo this month, everyone wants to help. But we're not sure how, so the best way we hope to show our love and support is to feed their family. This way, little Elias, Thanos and Ariana won't go hungry or be subject to John's cooking! :)

Please sign up for a Monday or Wednesday night starting October 14. They live at 2325 Aspen Street Philadelphia, PA 19130. If they are not home when you deliver the food, please drop off at Rembrandts at 23rd and Aspen. They have one dietary restriction and that is an allergy to tree nuts, so no almonds etc.. Peanuts are OK.

Also, when you sign up with your name, please add what dish you will be making. This way, they can avoid eating a ton of lasagna. Try to prepare enough to feed 5 people and don't forget something sweet for dessert. And send the food in disposable containers or containers you don't want back.

For those of you who would prefer not to subject the Mondlak/Sarkos family to your cooking because you don't even cook for yourself, but want to help, I recommend sending a DiningIn gift certificate so that they can order from a ton of different Philly restaurants and have it delivered.
