About Meredith Farrell's Family & Friends

MEREDITH is 38 years old and has come to Pittsburgh from NY - to await a double lung transplant.

We hope that she'll get The Call soon! We have started Meredith's community so we will be ready to go when she (and her mom) need us!

Thank you for signing into this community - Here's her story again:

_______________________________________________

Meredith is 38 years old and is originally from NY. Before becoming sick herself, Meredith worked as a Child Life Specialist with medically ill kids to help the hospital be less of a scary place. There she explained procedures and diagnoses to kids in terms they could understand, distracted them during medical procedures to facilitate coping, and provided art therapy and play therapy to hospitalized children.

Now Meredith is the patient. Meredith, along with her mom Sandy, has relocated to Pittsburgh to allow her to be listed with UPMC for a double-lung transplant.

Meredith's Pittsburgh ties include long-time friends and classmates, Stefanie and Jason Small - from elementary, junior, and senior high school! She also attended school in Israel with Becca Kentor. Meredith's brother Scott lives in North Woodmere and is good friends of Gavri & Shani Butler.
