“What can I do to help?”Lotsa Helping Hands is a private, web-based volunteer coordination service that allows parents, teachers, students, and neighbors to create a community and manage the various volunteer activities available at all schools - whether arranging volunteers for classroom parties, organizing fundraising events, or bringing people together to help a local family in need. The community helps solve the problems of endless phone and email tag by using an intuitive group calendar for scheduling responsibilities, and provides many other features for enhancing communication and building school community including customizable sections for sharing photos, announcements, needs of the school, messages, and resources for parents. Now, when someone asks “what can I do to help?” the answer is “give me your name and email address” – the system takes over and allows people to sign up and start helping. |
